As someone who who’s always on the lookout for cool watches to buy, it is very exciting when you find a watch, and it turns out much cooler than what you originally thought. This is exactly what happened at a flea market in northern Denmark.
In a case together with a broken Casio and a few fashion watches, this BWC Military iii laid waiting for me. I saw the Swiss Made text on the dial, and the beautiful field watch design. That’s all I needed to pull the trigger. Looking at the price tag, the real coolness of this watch was revealed to me.

Upon further inspection, the caseback revealed an engraving confirming that this was a proper military issue timepiece. The Royal Crown of Denmark and the letters «HMAK». The Army Material Command.
This unsuspecting, and absolutely stunning, BWC has been in active duty on the wrist of a Danish soldier. Still, it is in fantastic condition, working perfectly.
It’ll go in for a checkup and slight polish of the crystal before going up for sale.
